Our holiday apartments are located in Ohlstadt, a traditional village in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district, just 20 minutes from the Zugspitze. We are surrounded by the Murnau Moor and our local mountain, the Heimgarten. Lakes Staffelsee, Kochelsee, and Walchensee are only a few minutes away. Murnau, Eschenlohe, Kochel, Schlehdorf, and Grossweil are our neighboring villages. Ohlstadt has a small ski lift, and the ski resorts in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Zugspitze, Ehrwald, and Oberammergau are easily accessible. Ohlstadt is a great base for visiting Lake Walchensee and Lake Eibsee. King Ludwig II's royal castles, Linderhof and Neuschwanstein, are also easily reachable from our apartments. Ohlstadt lies in the Blue Land, a region shaped by the artists' collective "Die Blauen Reiter" (The Blue Rider), including Gabriele Münter, Paul Klee, Wassily Kandinsky, Franz Marc, Alexeij von Jawlensky, and August Macke. Museums featuring works by the collective can be found in Murnau and Kochel. We look forward to your visit! Families with children, business travelers, and construction companies are all welcome. We have three apartments named after the mountains visible directly from the Daserhaus: Heimgarten, Zugspitze, and Ettaler Mandl. We want to make holidays in our region affordable, so our apartments are simply but comfortably furnished. The two apartments on the top floor were completely gutted and renovated in 2026, featuring new bathrooms, underfloor heating, and hardwood floors.
