Where you’ll be
Holiday apartment Zugspitze is a top-floor apartment of approx. 50 m² in Daserhaus and has been recently renovated. It combines modern comfort with the special charm of a historic building.
The apartment features underfloor heating and high-quality wooden parquet flooring. Dormer windows offer views of the village and the local mountain Heimgarten. In the bedroom, sloped roof windows provide plenty of natural light and, on clear days, a view of the Zugspitze.
The apartment is ideal for couples, families and small groups of friends and accommodates up to 4 guests. A small child in a travel cot can be accommodated additionally. The newly renovated bathroom features a comfortable rain shower.
The kitchen is integrated into the open-plan living and dining area, inviting guests to cook and relax together. Wi-Fi and a TV are, of course, available.
Daserhaus is located in a lively, typically Upper Bavarian village. The maypole, church bells and everyday village life shape the atmosphere. Traditional inns, a bakery and a butcher are within easy walking distance. During grazing season, cows pass through the village in the morning and evening, and on weekends you may encounter traditional costume groups and local parades – living culture that is simply part of daily life here.
The local tourist tax is already included in the price.

making it very well connected to regional and long-distance rail services.
With the guest card
you receive upon arrival, you can also use buses and trains free of charge on the routes
Murnau – Oberammergau
and Uffing – Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
For guests arriving with an electric car, an EV wallbox is available directly at the house, with charging power of up to 11 kW.
Charging is billed via a service fee of up to €0.39 per kWh.
Please let us know if you’d like to charge, and we’ll activate it for you easily.
Neighborhood
The neighbourhood
Daserhaus is located right in the heart of Ohlstadt, a traditional village in the “Blaues Land” region that is still strongly shaped by agriculture, local traditions and community life. Our direct neighbours are mainly farmers, small craft businesses and families who have lived here for generations. A lively village atmosphere is simply part of everyday life here.
During grazing season, cows walk through the village in the morning and evening—sometimes passing right by the house. For many guests this is a special experience; for locals it is completely normal. Chickens, sheep and other farm animals also shape the village scenery. Sounds, smells and movement are naturally part of rural life.
Ohlstadt actively lives its Bavarian traditions: the maypole stands in the village centre, and on weekends you will often see traditional costume groups, brass bands or local processions. The church bells structure the day and—also at night—are part of the village’s long-established culture.
A bakery, butcher, inns and small local businesses are all within easy walking distance. People greet each other, use first names and chat—creating a sense of community that is often lost in bigger cities. At the same time, Ohlstadt is a quiet base for hiking, cycling and exploring the surrounding mountains and lakes.
We live in the house with our family—four children and dogs. This means the house and the neighbourhood are lively, not sterile or anonymous. If you are looking for absolute silence or a hotel-like atmosphere, this may not be the right place. But if you appreciate authentic village life, closeness to nature and a relaxed, down-to-earth environment, you will feel at home here.
